EnduRE30C Flexi — Flexible Substrates
EnduRE30C Flexi is a rare-earth enhanced Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling (PDRC) coating engineered specifically for flexible and movement-prone surfaces — including PVC membranes, EPDM, TPO, canvas fabric roofs, asphalt felt, deco tiles, tents, awnings, and timber substrates. Where rigid coatings crack and delaminate under thermal expansion and substrate movement, EnduRE30C Flexi maintains adhesion and performance through its elastomeric acrylic acid formulation.
EnduRE30C Flexi works through two complementary mechanisms:
1. High Solar Reflectance — Reflects 87.3% of total solar energy, blocking UV and infrared radiation before it heats the flexible surface.
2. Infrared Atmospheric Window Emission — Rare earth compounds actively re-radiate absorbed heat through the 8–13 µm atmospheric window directly to the cold sky, even during peak daytime hours.
Its flexible design maintains stable PDRC performance during complex deformations, fully adapting to the dynamic expansion and contraction needs of the substrate — making it the engineered solution for green energy-saving transformation of flexible and lightweight building structures.

Why Flexi for Flexible Substrates?
Standard radiative cooling coatings are formulated for rigid substrates — concrete, metal, and masonry. Applied to flexible membranes, canvas, or asphalt felt, they crack, peel, and lose adhesion as the substrate moves with temperature changes and structural loading. EnduRE30C Flexi is specifically engineered to move with the substrate, maintaining coating integrity and PDRC performance through repeated expansion and contraction cycles.
With a CSIRO-verified SRI of 111.5, EnduRE30C Flexi still significantly outperforms standard white coatings on flexible surfaces — bringing the same rare earth radiative cooling technology to building types that conventional cool roof products cannot address.
Recommended Application System
Prime Coat (A): Primer for Flexible Substrates — 30–60 µm DFT
Functional Coating (B): Radiative Cooling Special Coating for Flexible Substrates — 80–100 µm DFT
Topcoat (C): Special Topcoat for Flexible Substrates — 15–25 µm DFT
Application method: Airless spray, roller, or brush
Recoat window: minimum 2 hours, maximum 72 hours
Sustainability
By lowering surface temperatures on flexible roof structures and reducing heat transfer into occupied spaces below, EnduRE30C Flexi supports reduced reliance on mechanical cooling and improved thermal comfort in structures where air conditioning is not practical or available. Water-based and non-toxic, it supports green building outcomes and sustainable building renovation.
Built for surfaces that move — EnduRE30C Flexi delivers proven PDRC performance without compromising coating integrity on flexible substrates.

EnduRE30C Flexi
This page provides practical guidance for applying EnduRE30C Flexi Radiative Cooling Coating for Flexible Substrates, a rare earth–based coating system designed for flexible and deformable roof surfaces such as deco tiles, asphalt felt, tents and lightweight roofing systems. For detailed procedures and project-specific requirements, always refer to the official Construction Manual.
1) Application Methods
- Airless spray (recommended for uniform film build and productivity)
- Air spray
- Roller or brush (suitable for small areas, edges, touch-ups and repairs)
2) Drying & Recoat Time
Drying and recoat times depend on temperature, humidity, airflow and substrate condition. As a general guide, under standard conditions:
- Surface dry: approximately ≤ 1 hour
- Hard dry: approximately ≤ 24 hours
- Minimum recoat time: 2 hours
- Maximum recoat window: up to 72 hours
Reference conditions: ambient temperature 5–35°C, relative humidity ≤ 75% RH.
3) Application Conditions
- Substrates must be sound, clean and dry, free from dust, grease, salt and loose material.
- Flexible substrates must be intact and securely fixed, with no delamination or excessive movement.
- Substrate moisture content: ≤ 10%
- Substrate pH: neutral range (pH 7–9)
- Application temperature: 5–35°C
- Relative humidity: ≤ 75% RH
- Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying, particularly in enclosed or covered structures.
4) Dilution Guidance
Dilution may be required depending on application method and site conditions. Where dilution is used, it should be carried out with deionised water.
Important: Exact dilution ratios and layer-specific guidance vary by component and application method. Always follow the Construction Manual and project specifications to ensure flexibility and performance are maintained.
5) Professional Use Notice
- EnduRE30C Flexi is designed for professional application.
- Flexible substrates require careful surface preparation to ensure adhesion and long-term performance.
- Actual coverage, drying time and cooling performance may vary depending on substrate condition, environment and application technique.
- Always conduct a small-area test and comply with site safety requirements, including appropriate PPE and ventilation.
EnduRE30C Flexi is engineered for applications where substrate movement, flexibility and radiative cooling performance must work together—making it ideal for lightweight and flexible roof systems.
Radiative Cooling Principle for Coatings
Stay Cooler, Naturally with Rare Earth Technology
Easyto’s EnduRE30C™ Rare Earth Coatings use advanced radiative cooling to keep building surfaces dramatically cooler under the sun. Unlike traditional paints that only reflect visible light, our coatings combine thermal barrier, solar reflection, and natural radiative emission for all-round heat control. This results in lower indoor temperatures, reduced HVAC loads, and improved energy efficiency.
How Radiative Cooling Works

The coating structure consists of multiple functional layers: a protective surface, a rare earth radiative cooling layer, and a heat-insulating substrate. Together, these layers reflect, block, and re-radiate solar energy — ensuring surfaces stay cooler without compromising durability or aesthetics.
Three Key Mechanisms
1. Thermal Barrier
Heat conduction is reduced by using rare earth materials with low thermal conductivity, preventing excess heat from transferring indoors.
2. Thermal Reflection
The coating reflects solar radiation energy across a wide wavelength range (200–2500nm), reducing the amount of heat absorbed by the building surface.
3. Thermal Radiation
Any absorbed solar energy is re-emitted as harmless far-infrared radiation (8–13μm) back into the sky through the atmospheric window — a natural, maintenance-free cooling process.
Why Rare Earth Makes the Difference
Unlike conventional titanium-based paints, Easyto’s rare earth coatings maintain high stability, strong solar rejection, and long-term weather resistance. This ensures performance does not fade with time and continues to deliver measurable energy savings year after year.
Real-World Benefits
