EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal
EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal is a rare-earth enhanced Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling (PDRC) coating engineered for metal roofing, Colorbond steel, galvanised steel sheeting, zinc-alum, colour steel sheets, metal cabinets, and pre-painted purlins. It reduces surface temperatures by up to 30°C and cuts building cooling energy loads by 25–40% — with zero power input and no mechanical system required.
Unlike conventional cool roof paints that rely solely on whiteness to reflect heat, EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal works through two complementary mechanisms:
1. High Solar Reflectance — Reflects 93.2% of total solar energy, blocking UV and infrared radiation before it heats the metal surface.
2. Infrared Atmospheric Window Emission — Rare earth compounds actively re-radiate absorbed heat through the 8–13 µm atmospheric window directly to the cold sky, even during peak daytime hours.
This dual-action PDRC technology makes EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal significantly more effective than standard reflective roof paints — particularly on metal surfaces that heat rapidly and retain heat long into the evening under Australian conditions.

Why Gen 5 for Metal?
Metal roofs are among the most heat-affected surfaces in Australian buildings — uncoated Colorbond and steel sheeting can exceed 70°C on a summer afternoon, driving massive air conditioning loads and creating uncomfortable interior environments. EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal is the cost-effective entry point into PDRC technology for metal surfaces, delivering CSIRO-verified SRI of 120.8 with a silicone-acrylic system that bonds firmly to prepared metal substrates.
For longer service life assets or industrial applications requiring extreme durability and chemical resistance, consider upgrading to EnduRE30C Gen 7 — the fluorocarbon-based formulation with SRI up to 122.8.
Recommended Application System
Prime Coat (A): Epoxy rust-inhibitive primer — 30–60 µm DFT
Functional Coating (B): Gen 5 Radiative Cooling Special Coating — 80–100 µm DFT
Topcoat (C): Special Topcoat — 15–25 µm DFT
Application method: Airless spray, roller, or brush
Sustainability
By lowering metal roof surface temperatures and reducing air conditioning demand, EnduRE30C Gen 5 — Metal supports reduced electricity consumption and associated carbon emissions. Water-based and non-toxic, it is designed to support green building outcomes and NCC energy efficiency compliance.
Built for Australia's heat — EnduRE30C Gen 5 Metal delivers smarter cooling, improved comfort, and long-lasting protection for metal roofs.

Practical guidance for applying EnduRE30C Gen 5 Radiative Cooling Coating for Metal, a rare earth–based coating system designed for metal roofs, color steel sheets, metal cladding, cabinets and industrial metal structures. For project-specific requirements and detailed step-by-step instructions, always refer to the official Construction Manual.
1) Application Methods
- Airless spray (recommended for uniform thickness and productivity)
- Air spray
- Roller or brush (for small areas, edges, touch-ups and repairs)
2) Drying & Recoat Time
Drying and recoat times depend on temperature, humidity, airflow and substrate condition. As a general guide, under standard conditions:
- Surface dry: approximately ≤ 1 hour
- Hard dry: approximately ≤ 24 hours
- Minimum recoat time: 4 hours
- Maximum recoat window: up to 24 hours
Reference conditions: ambient temperature 5–35°C, relative humidity ≤ 75% RH.
3) Application Conditions
- Metal substrates must be sound, clean and dry, free from oil, grease, salt, dust and loose coatings.
- Remove rust, scale and contaminants by cleaning, sanding or mechanical preparation as required.
- Substrate moisture content: ≤ 10%

Radiative Cooling Principle for Coatings
Stay Cooler, Naturally with Rare Earth Technology
Easyto’s EnduRE30C™ Rare Earth Coatings use advanced radiative cooling to keep building surfaces dramatically cooler under the sun. Unlike traditional paints that only reflect visible light, our coatings combine thermal barrier, solar reflection, and natural radiative emission for all-round heat control. This results in lower indoor temperatures, reduced HVAC loads, and improved energy efficiency.
How Radiative Cooling Works

The coating structure consists of multiple functional layers: a protective surface, a rare earth radiative cooling layer, and a heat-insulating substrate. Together, these layers reflect, block, and re-radiate solar energy — ensuring surfaces stay cooler without compromising durability or aesthetics.
Three Key Mechanisms
1. Thermal Barrier
Heat conduction is reduced by using rare earth materials with low thermal conductivity, preventing excess heat from transferring indoors.
2. Thermal Reflection
The coating reflects solar radiation energy across a wide wavelength range (200–2500nm), reducing the amount of heat absorbed by the building surface.
3. Thermal Radiation
Any absorbed solar energy is re-emitted as harmless far-infrared radiation (8–13μm) back into the sky through the atmospheric window — a natural, maintenance-free cooling process.
Why Rare Earth Makes the Difference
Unlike conventional titanium-based paints, Easyto’s rare earth coatings maintain high stability, strong solar rejection, and long-term weather resistance. This ensures performance does not fade with time and continues to deliver measurable energy savings year after year.
Real-World Benefits
